Solid Gold feeding chart?

For those who feed Solid Gold... on the back for a 10 pd cat it says... 1 cup of food? Are my eyes deceiving me? The cats other (cheaper...) food said 1/2 cup. It just seemed like a lot of food, especially since it's higher in calories than the other stuff. Just want to make sure my tubby doesn't get overfed...

One cup would be way too much for any of mine. I did feed Solid Gold at one time and I don't recall the feeding recommendations but I know mine did not get a full cup. For my cats I have found most of the recommended feeding amounts of various brands to be much too high for them for maintenance. Keep in mind that these are just guidelines...not necessarily the proper amount for all cats. I feed according to calories instead to ensure that they don't gain weight.

Thanks Nern, I think I'm going to continue giving mine a small amount. I just didn't expect to see such a large serving size on a food so rich, it took me by surprise.
