It was very hard to not laugh, a lot, when I first read about this.
It's really something that the man had the presence of mind to do what he did, instead of thrashing around in the water trying to dislodge the critter.

I love the way they described the shark, as being of a breed which is 'moody and short-tempered'. A short-tempered shark? Whou'ld have thought.
