What plants do we grow outside that are safe to eat, and which are toxic?

I thank the writer of the article recently posted regarding lilies being toxic.
I began to wonder what else I got growing outside that the cat could get sick on, and what would be something she could/should eat?
I live in the Pacific Northwest and have plants on the porch, herbs, flowers...and nearby in the earth I have currants, grapes, strawberries, peonies, iris, and springtime bulbs in the ground.

Onion and garlic are kind of odd things for cats and dogs. They can have a little now and then, it won't hurt them. But long-term ingestion or a large dose all at once can cause damage to their red blood cells. It's called Heinz body anemia if you want to google it for yourself.

I use a bit of garlic to get rid of my 3 girls' worms,once in a while,but only 10 days in a row,maybe 2 or 3 times a year...
So far so good, but they also eat alot of mice so maybe the fresh food compenses...?
