Hi there! My kitty Dexter is about two years old and he loves loves loves to eat. We keep him at a normal weight and schedule but he always is begging for more. Recently, he keeps vomiting up his favorite Merrick canned food. We tried another flavor, still vomit. So we stick to just Purina dry indoor formula. He seems great on just dry food but craves more flavor. I recently tried a frisk it's brand wet food just a tablespoon and what do you know more people! What should I do?

When does this vomit occur?  Is it immediately after he eats?  Say within 15 minutes?  Is he basically inhaling the food?  If so, it's probably regurgitation rather than actual vomiting, and probably because he's eating too fast.  Very common in the cat kingdom.  You can feed him VERY small amounts several times a day, try raising his food dish, spread the food out on a plate so he has to slow down just a tad, or even try putting an obstruction in his bowl like a clean golf ball or even a clean rock which will force him to eat around it, thus slowing him down.

Hi @Heatherfall  is the food at room temperature? If it's too cold (straight from fridge) it can cause a cat to vomit. Wet food should be served at room temperature (think of a mouse's body when it's killed). If it's not the cold, it may be a certain meat protein that is causing your cat to vomit (i.e intolerance).
