My kitty was recently eating a mix of NV raw bites and soulistic canned food. Buying the raw food was kind of a pain and I've been wanting to try other food for my cat. Over memorial day weekend I ran out of the raw food and my pet store wasn't able to get the raw food in stock for a week so I was in a pickle. I decided to cease the moment and try new food (tiki cat) mixed with the Soulistic and my kitty loved it!! A day or 2 later I also I decided to try a new flavor of the Soulistic canned to get my kitty away from fish flavors, so now she is currently eating half tiki cat chicken and egg and half Soulistic turkey. I know I made a quick change which hasn't bothered her in the past, but she now has diarrhea. Usually just once or twice a day but it has been 4 days now. She is acting normal and energetic and she is eating more than ever and is really eaxcited to eat so I'm hesitant to make anymore food changes. Today I gave her some canned pumpkin hoping it may help some with the loose stool. Should I be more patient?? Any suggestions??

I have been researching a bit and I came across a few posts and articles that recommend avoiding cat foods with guar gum. I noticed guar gum is a main ingredient in this flavor of Soulistic canned food. I typically fed Sadie about 3 oz of it along with the other food each day and I decided to scale back to just 1.5 oz a day and more of the Tiki Cat to see if there was a difference. The consistency of her stool changed almost immediately, it is no longer soft and finally firm and formed. I'm planning on eliminating the Soulistic completely.
