So, I just found this today and I have decided to join! I am a huge lover of cats and I think that I'm really going to love this site. So I found this website because today I noticed the second (or third??) eyelid on one of my cats. Curious, I googled it and through some looking I came here!
As of right now my family has five adorable kitties.
The oldest is Crystal (nicknamed Squishy). She is over a decade, and I think approaching 15 years old, though I could be wrong. She is somewhat fat, and 100% adorable. Her favorite past times are snuggling and eating. One funny thing about her is that she is a little bipolar (not confirmed, just guessed). She will be on your lap and as happy as she could ever be, then she will turn on you and attack your hand. XD
Next we have Jasmine. I think she is a few years younger than Crystal, but I'm not sure exactly by how long. Jasmine is somewhat skinny, and we are positive has some mental problem(s?). She was a normal car up until we took her to get fixed and then she randomly disappeared for like three weeks. Now she absolutely hates all other cats, and will pull out her fur if she is not showed enough attention. Despite this, though, we all love her.
In terms of age we then have Jasmine's two children: Bear and Amber. Amber came out first, so technically she's a little bit older. However, you would never guess as she's a lot smaller and quieter than her brother. Amber lovers attention so much. If you so much as brush your hand against her she will eh begging for attention the rest of the day. Something notable is her fur pattern. She's a mix of browns and oranges that looks really cool. Especially on her face, where there is a perfectly straight line down the middle that literally splits it between a dark side and a light side.
Bear in opposition is simply pure black. He is pretty muscular, and loves to hunt. A few years back He decided that he really wanted to attack the pheasants that were hanging out in our yard. He returned from these fights with some giant wounds. Oddly there wasn't a lot of blood, but he definitely lacked some flesh. He's okay now, but I tell this story to make a funny comparison. My sister owns a couple rats, which she keeps in their cage most of the time. Bear, for whatever reason, is terrified of being anywhere close to them. Most of the time he won't even go in her room anymore, despite the fact that he has had no negative experiences with at least those rats.
One last cat, bear with me! (hehe, get it? XD) This cat is named Sarah Connor, and she had quite a story behind her. About four or five years ago she just showed up in our backyard and would not leave. Eventually we realized that her tail was dead and rotting. Once we realized that we started trying to gather the funds to help her. At that point we decided that she would have to be ours. However, because of the tail we couldn't pick her up and she wouldn't roll over. For whatever reason we thought she was a boy and named her John Connor, Connor for short. When we managed to take her to the vet we were informed of her true gender, so she was renamed in a way that her nickname could remain.
Anyway, if you made it through all of that I applaud you. Also, you can call me either Cat or Faye (another nickname). CatGeek55 is a name that I use as a username on a lot of things, so it's not just because this is a cat site. I just really like cats. XD I hope to enjoy this site and hopefully make some friends! Again, if you amuse it all the way through this you deserve some sort of an award.
