My beautiful girl went in to be neutered and died in recovery. The most heartbreaking day of my daughters life and mine. We love you all the world Saff, just a baby.
Oh, my goodness. That's just awful I'm so, so sorry hun. Do you know what went wrong or why it happened? Saff was a beautiful little girl
Rest in peace, Saff, you gorgeous girl. You were far too young to die

My heart is broken to think of the loss of one so loved and wanted, there is nothing that can rationalize this with our hearts. There was no way to ever know something like this will happen, it is a tragedy but also a complete accident, so please don't ever blame yourself for what happened. The odds of this are astronomical, I have had so many neutered I have lost count and have never had this happen. She may have had a undetected heart condition or an allergy to the anesthesia. You did what you thought was right, she would never hold anything against you, she loved you too much for that. I'm sure she would never want you to be so sad when remembering her, try to celebrate the time you had her in your life. Even though your time together was short, she gave you so much pleasure and joy, the memories you shared will bring you comfort in the months ahead. Thank you for the tribute to this wonderful little girl, she will be mourned by many and will be in the thoughts and prayers of us all. Try to surround yourself with people who understand your pain, it takes a long time to heal a broken heart. Take care of yourself and share your pain and comfort with that beautiful daughter, this reminds us all that life can be fleeting and we must live it to the fullest with those who mean so much to us.........RIP sweet Saff, such a beautiful little girl who will be so dearly missed, you will never be forgotten and will be held dear in the hearts of those who love you for eternity!
I'm so sorry for your loss. I had the same thing happen to me when I got my very first ever kitten. She could not handle anything and passed away while they were trying to spay her. She had a respiratory issue. It could be the same way that happened to your kitten. Either way, I'm so sorry for your loss.
What a beautiful girl! I'm very sorry for your loss. I lost my first beagle, Annie, to complications from spaying. She bled out because her blood stopped clotting. But she sent me another wonderful beagle about six months later.
There are always risks involved in surgery, whether for people or animals, and complications are uncommon. We have to spay and neuter our fur babies if we are going to end the pet overpopulation tragedy. Three to four million animals die every year in our nation's shelters, and that number doesn't include those who die on the streets, or because of neglect and cruelty.
I lost a senior beagle I adopted from the shelter to breast cancer because she was never spayed. So although spaying has its risks, however small, it is absolutely necessary. Kitten season will be upon us soon, and millions of kittens will be dumped or euthanized because there aren't enough homes.
Saff had a loving home during her short life, which is more than many cats have. May she rest in peace.
so very sorry to hear that. And wow, what great pictures of her. She clearly was loved very much. And it sounds that she went without much pain at all... that's no comfort, certainly. Nothing is.
But just know that the Rogue (who didn't reach his 3rd birthday), who is now wherever cats go after the bridge will be super happy to play with Saff.
