Ok, it's very important that mama stays inside from now until when the kittens are weaned. This is for a few reasons:
You don't want her delivering outside where you can't help mom or babies in an emergency. Things do go wrong during labor and delivery. You also won't be able to monitor them as they hopefully grow and thrive. You may need to step in, and you'll need constant access. There are also predators and unpredictable elements outside.
Moms who go outside when their babies are young bring back diseases and parasites to their infants who don't have developed immune symptoms. It's not safe.
Worse, many moms who go outside don't come back at all. This is either because they go into heat, get pregnant again and run off, or something happens to them, like being hit by a car. Either way, this leaves you to raise the litter. Moms can get pregnant within a week of delivering and without going into heat. She'll need to stay 100% inside and away from intact males until the kittens have been weaned.
I no all the installs and outside cause my other cat has 3 week old kittens but I didn't even realise this one was pregnant I no I had to keep getting her in a few weeks ago cause cats was humping her but I forgot to write the dates down so just wondering if anyone could tell me roughly how far she is thanks
