Help with nipping!!!!

Desperately in need of help and advice! Any time I'm in the kitchen, my ten month old cat constantly walks around my ankles and will also nip at my feet and ankles. It doesn't matter if it's time for her food or not, she does it anytime I'm in there. It makes it so difficult to cook!!!! Is there any way I can get her to stop this?!

Try saying OUCH or NO very loudly and then putting her in another room for a few minutes.  Eventually she should get the idea.  For faster results, some people have gone as far as rubbing some bitter apple on their ankles.  A few bites of this foul tasting stuff usually works.
