This is the new Orijen Cat and Kitten from Kentucky. They still haven't released the ingredients, but if you compare to Canadian made with the food icons on the bags you will see different fish content and they moved egg up higher.

Looks like flounder and mackerel that is replacing the salmon herring, and walleye. Sucks.

Looking around on Chewy it seems that a lot of different brands are changing to worse formula's. This is so frustrating. Why can't companies care about the pets and not just the money?

Why don't they attempt to follow the same recipe? It is probably a completely different ingredient list like they did with Acana. It is no different then trying to switch/transition to a completely different food! Wonder why they are keeping the ingredients list so secret even while bragging they are making it already? We had the Acana ingredient list before they started making the food in the Kentucky plant. They are becoming untrustworthy to me.
My advice is to try other BRANDS. There are some good ones out there.

I definitely don't like what they're doing. I just am having the hardest time finding anything without potatoes and peas as every few ingredients.

I wouldn't feed any kibble lower quality than Orijen. I've been using Orijen for years but I may phase out with the changes coming. I only use Orijen in tiny amounts mixed with Ziwipeak air dried. Although ultimately I'm trying to phase out all kibble.

I just looked at that as well, but I don't like the chicken meal as the first ingredient, nor that it has both potatoes and potatoe flour. I'm probably going to wait until Orijen releases the ingredient list to make a decision. In the meantime I'm going to stock up on a few bags that way I have more of a cushion while I either phase it out or use something else.

That was my thought as well. I don't want to use food with filers like potatoes.

Doesn't seem bad to me other than perhaps more fish. For me that's not a big deal because I feed a pretty small amount of Orijen only as a snack. If they move whole egg up to on Orijen cat version I wouldn't be bothered by that because egg is actually really good and important for cats.

Wow, KK, good find!
That doesn't look too bad. Here is the Canadian current Puppy ingredients:
INGREDIENTS
Boneless chicken*, chicken meal, chicken liver*, whole herring*, boneless turkey*, turkey meal, turkey liver*, whole eggs*, boneless walleye*, whole salmon*, chicken heart*, chicken cartilage*, herring meal, salmon meal, chicken liver oil, chicken fat, red lentils, green peas, green lentils, sun-cured alfalfa, yams*, pea fiber, chickpeas, pumpkin*, butternut squash*, spinach greens*, carrots*, Red Delicious apples*, Bartlett pears*, cranberries*, blueberries*, brown kelp, licorice root, angelica root, fenugreek, marigold flowers, sweet fennel, peppermint leaf, chamomile, dandelion, summer savory, rosemary, Enterococcus faecium.

Navy and pinto beans will be new for USA.

I am still trying to figure out why the Meadowlands cat makes my cat barf. Is it the beans? Here is the Canadian Cat and Kitten ingredients:

Boneless chicken, chicken meal, chicken liver,* whole herring,* boneless turkey,* turkey meal, turkey liver,* whole eggs,* boneless walleye,* whole salmon,* chicken heart,* chicken cartilage,* herring meal, salmon meal, chicken liver oil, chicken fat, red lentils, green peas, green lentils, sun-cured alfalfa, kelp, pumpkin,* butternut squash,* spinach greens,* carrots,* apples,* pears,* cranberries,* mixed tocopherols (preservative), chicory root, dandelion root, chamomile, peppermint leaf, ginger root, caraway seeds, turmeric, rose hips, freeze-dried chicken liver, freeze-dried turkey liver, freeze-dried chicken, freeze-dried turkey, dried Enterococcus faecium fermentation product + vitamins and minerals

*delivered fresh and preservative-free

Almost the same Orijen Puppy and Cat and Kitten. I think the USA Puppy and Cat and Kitten will be similar too.

Apparently Chewys was bought by Petsmart last year and won't be carrying Acana or Orijen anymore.

Chewy Letter • ACANA Pet Foods

Can you show me the reviews where the Canadian variety is better than Acana? I never noticed a Canadian made Acana.
I beleive the reviews were on Chewy, not sure if they're still there at this point.
