I passed a teeny kitten in the turn lane of a major highway.  It had just been hit and killed by a car.  I had to stop, put it in my car, and took it home and buried it as Unknown baby kitten on its headstone.  It couldn't have been more than four weeks old.  I can't quit thinking about it.  It's such a good reason for everyone to be very careful when driving.  It's slowed me down much to the dismay of drivers behind me.  Rest little baby kitten and I pray God has placed you in a special place where maybe one day I will get to hold you.

Bless you for caring and taking the time to pick this poor kitten up and giving it a proper burial.  I'm sure there is a special place in Heaven for people like you.

My stomach always drops when I see those poor little souls lying by the side of the highway, no one to care that they even existed. That is what makes people like you so special, thank you so much for your kindness, you will surely be blessed for it. I have done the same, they deserve to be at least not on display, but it doesn't seem to detour many people or make them stop texting for those times when they should be concentrating on driving.I always cry when I see those innocent little baby animals milling around a dead mother too, whether it be raccoons, or the kit fox I saw the other day, it breaks my heart.  Dear, innocent Unknown Baby Kitten, you deserved so much more in this life, please know that there are people out here who care about what happened, you will be mourned by many now as you should be. Please RIP, your little star will shine bright in the heavens, you will not be forgotten!

Thank you so much for stopping. That kitten won't be forgotten now. Someone cared enough to notice his passing and make sure he was buried.

i have a few unknown kittens buried in my garden too.

Every little life matters.

All of you would have done the same.  I just can't stand the thought of such a precious little life being run over and over until it is no longer recognizable.

Many thanks to all with your expressions of sorrow and understanding about this little unknown baby kitten's passing.  I can see her little grave from where I'm sitting.  I've been back to the place where she was on the highway and drove around in that area to see if it had any siblings I could possibly rescue before they are killed.  Hopefully, they are safe if she had any brothers and/or sisters.   SB
