okay my Leo is almost 2 years old now but this is the first time he is exhibiting such behavior.

He's yowling like crazy the whole night and only quiets when i take him outside for a while.

I get that he is in heat but I don't know what to do.

I cant let him outdoors as I live in a dangerous neighborhood. There are dogs and wolves around all night.

And I can't find a mate for him. Sadly because he is not of a breed no one wants to. and I can't adopt a female, my family doesnt allow it.

So anyone has any advice? on how to handle him in this situation ??

I'd be very thankful really

Hello,

Neutering him would really be the best and kindest option. Breeding him and letting him outside are not safe, for all the reasons you have mentioned and others. Is neutering possible? It would be bring you all some relief. Poor Leo must be very uncomfortable.

well i thought of neutering.... but isn't that painful? especially cuz he's a lot older now..

tbh i feel like i've done bad by him,. but actually i don't want to opt for that option.

i know it's better but it feels like i'd be doing something wrong to him

Nope, not painful at all. As it is, he has surges of hormones that he has no control over and no outlet for. Once neutered, he will be much more content.

He has no attachment over his testicles or his manhood - that's just your understandable concern for him. He'll really be much happier once it's over. As will you! An added bonus is that you'll have removed the risk of testicular cancer.
