Do any of you know what you are getting your guys for Valentines Day?
I am so lost, I just do NOT know what he would want. ME? I find ALL sorts of things I would LOVE to have. As for him??? I'm at a loss.
He likes dark chocolate, but isn't a HUGE fan of them, eating one or two a month, so chocolate is out,I was thinking about something in the way of a sexy nighty or somehting XXX rated in that region.
Any ideas???

I got my guy some cheesy stuff. A message in a bottle (which I still have to fill out), some love dice (lol) and some hot fire silk boxers

I'm in need of a good idea too!!

He always gets me a gift and we usually go out for a nice dinner, and I always just bake him some cookies or something small like that, but this year I'd like to do something a bit more for him since we're engaged!

Although at the same time, we don't particularly like the holiday and say we're celebrating our anniversary then which was just last week.

When i was with my boyfriend, i went overboard on what i used to get him(Too generous at times!!).

I used to always get him a Playstation2 game, a bottle of aftershave. something to wear, moisturisers for men, chocolates, i spent a fortune!!.

But this year it's going on the one person in my life at the moment, Rosie!.

Well I've got my girlfriend a Print of a cartoon. There is a dog in a muzzle and the owner is explaining "No, he is very friendly, just prone to fits of the giggles". Great prezzie.

Is it worth thinking outside of the romantic stuff and getting him something fun but useless? I was given a great kite last year.

Movin' on up!
Bill's birthday is Feb. 18 so, I get him a good prezzie, for that and a "little something" for Valentine's Day. This year, he's getting a Valentine card and a Rusty Wallace Hot Wheels.

For his birthday, I got him a realy nice shirt and I'll take him out to dinner.

For Valentine's Day, it is a sure bet, that he will get me candy and maybe flowers. We'll go out to dinner, too.

We don't give the romantic stuff on Valentine's day, besides the chocolate and cards. We can only give each other "fun" stuff...Kites are a great idea. Include a promise for a picnic in the park with him. :icecream: This year I found a few small plants he can grow in his city apartment as a vegie garden. Last year I gave him some fishing lures and we went fishing for the first time in my life.

Right here! :)
I have the same problem. Valentine´s day is not a bit thing here, actually it was totally "unknown" here up untill a few years ago. Now it´s mostly an advertisments day for flowerists and chocolate shops and sexy underwear shops
There is no traditions for Valentine´s cards.
My s/o and I have anniversary on the 12th, so that is our day, and then we get each other a little sweet something like hears shapes chocolate on Valentines day. At the end of January we have a day called "Farmers day" - reffering to "husbands", since allmost all men used to be farmers and/or fishermen such a short while ago here (except for the few that were priests and doctors). After people started forming real all year towns, about 200 years ago, more men had dayjobs, but were still considered farmers, just "farmers of their house" - Anyway, so this farmers day is a day where we women do romantic things for our men (the farmers of our house
) and then at the end of February we have a "womens day" where they do romantic stuff for us.
So this was I micro lesson about the Icelandic culture
.

What I ment to say when I hit the "reply" button, was that even though we dont have a big Valentines day, I still realllly need good ideas for our anniversary on Thursday

I got Lyle some candles. He likes candles because of the flame and smell...and that's something that's not too racy. We'll save that type of stuff for when we're finally married!
I'll probably give his some sort of candy too like the little word hearts!
