I am just curious to know how often you empty your kitty litter and replace it with fresh?  I have been changing mine about once a week because I notice that after about that long, it will start to get smelly...  Also, what brand of kitty litter do you recommend?  I have been using Fresh Results clumping corn litter but I'm not sure I like it too much.

Once a week is a normal amount of time.  I used to use the Fresh Results too but switched to the pine pellets (like feline pine, but instead I get it at tractor supply company, costs $5.99 for 40 pounds as horse bedding  instead of $9.29 for 20 pounds as cat bedding.  I have a rescue so I use a lot.

I also use one clumping clay litter because some of my cats prefer that and will pee on the floor beside the pine litter if there is no clay clumping litter to use.  I get an unscented brand of that.  The least dusty is Precious Cat, available at Petsmart or online.  Cats prefer unscented and so do I.
