Hi, This is my first post. Close to 5 years ago, I decided to get a cat. When we arrive to pick one out, we ended up with two kittens (a brother and sister pair). A gorgeous black boy and tabby girl. Last year we adopted another brother and sister pair of kittens. They are the cats that I am most curious about. They are so talkative. Their names are Tommy and Lucy. They reply when you call their names and hold conversations with us. I never met cats like this. They have more almond shaped eyes than the other cats but they are not siamese. Tommy is close to 15 pounds while Lucy is a tiny 7 pounds but they are from the same litter born on February 15, 2015. The size difference amazes me. My older two cats (born Sept. 2, 2011) also differ in size by at least 3 pounds. Last October we also rescued a stray girl who had been living outside of our church for over a month. After being checked at the vet, they believed she had been spayed so we brought her home and looked for her family. No one cleaimed her. She is a gorgeous all white cat. The softest fur ever but she sheds like crazy. Anyway, here are some pictures. If anyone has a clue on the breeds I am curious to know your thoughts.
This is Stripes. My oldest girl.

Pepper- my beautiful black boy (Stripes brother)

Tommy my ultra chatty boy

Lucy the ultra chatty girl (Tommy's sister)

A great shot of beautiful Lucy's face

Our newest addition, Marshmallow. The vet said that she thinks she is around 4 years old.

I think they are domestics all... DSH. Alike over 95% of cats.   None of them is a clear look alike to an established breed.

Domestics,  Its an totally enormous gene pool, with looootsa of different genes and gene-combinations - and thus - there will be quite a few results.  Some even good look-alikes.  (and once upon the time, it was from some of these look alike the purebreds were purebred from).

OK, the first tabby is a classical tabby - called also for marbled, blotched, bulls eye tabby.

Svartie has a locklet on his chest.  Very nice.

The red white bi-color may be called for Saddle.

The sis is a diluted tortie, that is why she is blueish.   With some disguise she could get work as a Russian  Blue stand in.  But its more fair to her to call her for a Maltese cat.  Here We herd in all blue cats where we cant surely pinpoint their ancestry.   Although I presume purebred Russian blues and Korats and British Blue  may also be called for  Maltese cats tgen too - and once upon the time were called so.

And whitie is whitie... Its a strong gene, so strong it can both stand for itself, and even cover other genes beneath...  Its a little peculiar not more of our cats are totally white.
