Was perusing through Chewy's this morning when this popped up on a search.

I thought it looked interesting and haven't seen mention of it. It has a short ingredient list, and good price for a USA made pet food. So I ordered a case. I'd like to find some less expensive alternatives for NVI in some animal proteins if possible.  I'm hoping both Rayna & Rhett like it because its about half the price of NVI. Thought some here might be interested too.

I don't think it's bad either but some people avoid all types of gums in cat food. I thought i'd mention that the brand contained guar gum if someone was considering buying the food.

the only thing ive ever read about guns in cat food is a study done that showed it caused nutrients to be harder to absorbed

I too, am curious about the Evanger rabbit recipe.  The lack of AAFCO certification doesn't distress me because a product like Evangers meats wouldn't be the only protein that I would feed my cat during the week.  Most days of the week I would make sure she got an AAFCO approved nutrient-full and balanced cat food.  I want to have as many protein options as possible for my cat.  Besides, a rabbit is a rodent...just like a mouse!!!

I just looked up the reviews on Chew.com.

It seems that the food is either a love it or hate it, with cats.

So still unsure about it.

Will be awaiting some info from people here on it, before I buy it.

Unfortunately I couldn't get Rayna to eat this, Rhett was ok with it. Not sure why, it looks fine, but is similar texture to Hound &  Gatos which after initially eating, now is another on the dislike list. I do think its worth a try if you can buy a single or two to try.  Both cats have turned a lot pickier than when I first picked them up from the shelter. I'll continue to look for alternatives to try to keep them from getting bored with their food.
