Today in the afternoon after my cat woke up i noticed that it wasn't being itself..then all of a sudden it started panicing at the slightest sound or movement...it wouldn't eat and it keeps shaking and making weird noises when being held and its heart keeps bounding...this lasted for about 30 mins but still it's not being active as usual....what should i do and what could cause this?!!

He may have been having seizures if he did this during sleep.Did he lay down or lose control at all, any drooling or glassy eyes?  If he did it AFTER, he may have spotted a dog or cat outside, (or heard one or some other frightening noise) or the noise could have woke him up. Did anything occur right before he woke up, or shortly after? I know mine freak out and make strange sounds when they hear the audio from my computer, they actually come over and try to paw at it. The best scenario would be to have him checked out by a vet, if you don't, then observe him closely and see if you can pinpoint any causes, it may be extreme fright and you need to find out the cause. Please keep us posted on what you find out, good luck!

I did ask the vet and he told me that it is just scared because we were installing an new AC in the house and the noises were too loud...But it wasn't even scared then that's why i'm worried that it is panicing now all of a sudden...yesterday it calmed down and slept well and in the morning it was just fine then it paniced again for no possible reason as it was sitting on my lap and it was licking and purring...and to answer your question it didn't have a seizure or lose control beacause i've seen it once before when it had trouble breathing...thanks alot for your advice and i'm already observing it way too closely...
