Cat likes to play Fetch

My little baby boy loves to play fetch. If you get one of his balls you tell him "love it" and he rubs his face up against it. Then you say "go get it" and throw it, he runs after it and carries it back to you. He drops it at your feet. Anybody else's cat do this?

My orange guy Gizmo plays fetch. He even plays it by himself sometimes. He will take the toy to the stairs and hit it so it falls down the steps and then chases it and brings it back to the top of the stairs again.  I have to play a least a little with him every day or he acts up. I think it is so cute. I love my orange guy.

When I was growing up my mum had a beautiful orange boy named Wilbur, and we have videos of me as a baby playing fetch with him! He would chase anything, but it was mostly balled up tin foil or straws!

Yes my kitty does it too! I will throw a toy across the room and say "go get it!" and she does 90% of the time. The other 10% is her being too excited and taking it when I throw it and running all over the house with it

+My 6 month old Maine Coon - Lucy - fetches a hard plastic ring.  I throw it and she brings it back.  This is at nighttime only, just as I go to bed.

If you go on YouTube and look for "Sparky The Fetching Cat" you will see a video I made of my older guy.

Sinbad loves playing fetch with balls of crumpled newspaper. It's so adorable.
