Hello guys.
I wanted to get some of your advice for my cat.

my cat has this behavior that she only pees on my bed.
it's totally not a litte box problem since she uses it perfectly
fine and my bed is the only spot she would pee.

I talked to vet, after all the test she is a heathy cat.
I pick up the fluoxetine (liquid, tuna flavor) yesterday.
it is 5mg/ml and she told me to give 0.3ml every 24 hrs.

my cat is only 7lbs and this dosage seems too much.
I just gave her this morning and all she did today was sleeping.
she seemed dizzy.

is this right dosage for her?

and I also heard about problems when you try to weaning
a cat off from prozac. I heard it can cause many health problem.

is this true? I mean I only start today. I can stop it now
if I know that this will hurt my cat in the future.

I would rather wash my bed sheet everyday.
please let me know what your thoughts are.
thanks!

If you have questions about the dosage, you should probably check with your Vet.  I would say it might depend on how much your cat needs it as to how much is given, but I honestly don't know much about it.

I did find this thread on it, and in one instance, they gave their cat 5 mg per day (for a 17 lb ish cat).  You are giving a liquid though, so not sure if  that's apples to apples or not.

Hoping now that I've bumped this up, someone with actual experience might be able to help.   In the meantime, here's that thread i mentioned.  You might find something helpful within:  http://www.thecatsite.com/t/314078/prozac-in-kitties
