I just got a new 4 month old kitten on Monday. Since then he hasn't really been using his litter box. He will got to them and dig in them so I know he knows where they are, but he hasn't used it. Today he did pee in one of them, and I bought kitten attract to help him out, but still no poop. I know i shouldn't expect him to poop at first, but how long is normal to wait?

He also keeps nursing on himself.I've had cats in the past never grow out of suckling, but they usually do it on a blanket or soft pillow, but he keeps using himself. He goes and starts sucking and licking his own belly while he kneads with his paws. I'm sure this isn't unhealthy for him, but I'm trying to make him stop, any suggestions?

He probably isn't eating anything, and may not be drinking much either.  What are you feeding him?  Be sure to feed him WET food and maybe even some goat milk mixed in (most of them like that, and you can get it at most supermarkets.)  Dry food isn't great anyhow, and if he hasn't learned to eat it, he won't be eating anything.  Did he just leave his mama for the first time?  If so, he was probably still nursing and is going through a certain amount of withdrawing from that.  His belly is the closest thing he can get to his mama's belly, and its comforting to him.  He probably has not been eating much food.  You might be able to get some KMR kitten milk replacer and tempt him with that if he doesn'tike the goat milk.  Try a little baby food also.  Even if they are four months old, the mama cats will sometimes let them nurse.  Give him lots of love and cuddles,  He is probably very homesick and missing his mama and siblings.
