I can see my cat's nipples

Is it normal to be able to see my male cat's nipple(s)? He is a shorthaired cat but his nipples are often prominent when he is lying down. And Ive noticed that the area there has fewer fur. is it normal? 
I dont know if you can see in this picture, but his nipples are the pinkish area on his belly. He has always been like this and there is no irritation or anything. I was only curious. thank you

Yes, it's quite normal. My cat is black, so you can hardly see them, but they are there.
