I've been mixing formula with a little cream of chicken soup and she's started eating it on her own. I know it's not ideal, but I haven't left the house yet because I now have a stomach virus, too.

She learned how to climb out of her box and spent a good chunk of time roaming the kitchen and living room today, and seems to have a ton more energy. I'm having to fight to keep my male kitten away from her because he decided that she's a new toy.

Since she fought me on her night feedings last night, I decided to feed her on demand. So when she cries I feed her, but I'm not setting an alarm anymore. Shes eating about an ounce of food per sitting about every 3 hrs.
Please be very careful that the soup has no onion or garlic in it! Toxic to cats!

It doesn't, I read the label. ;)

I've kept three kittens alive off of the stuff. Here's hoping for #4

You can start mixing wet food into the KMR to make a mush anytime now too.

I need information on how to care for blind kittens/cats. She can't seem to see more than a 2-3 inches in front of her..

Can you tell us a bit about how she's doing other than the eye issue? I think that might help with what she needs.

She's getting around the house and exploring. She comes to my voice when I call her. She is having problems eating without my finger feeding or having chunks in her food- she'll bite at the side of the bowl instead of at her food if it's not got chunks of meat or kibble.

Is this a kitten or cat that does not see well?

Here is a TCS article that you may find interesting:

http://www.thecatsite.com/a/blind-cats

Is there an eye issue that might require vet care?
It's a kitten. Thank you for the article. And I'm assuming it's from an eye infection or birth. Her eyes are cloudy. But there hasn't been mucous since her second day here.

That sounds like cataracts from the infection, which would make her sight very poor. She will catch on to smell and sound, though. Mingo can smell his food from across the room and hears a single piece of kibble hit the floor. And he's not blind.

Has a vet looked at her eyes? There may be medicine that would help.
