I adopted 2 kittens - brothers - about a week ago.  They're very affectionate with each other and with me, but Murphy is even more so.  He rubs his face against mine, will press his mouth into mine and his nose against mine.  He will gently rub my face with his paws and he's always nuzzling and sometimes he'll nip my nose.  I know bunting is a common cat thing, but he's not just bumping his face into me, he keeps rubbing and rubbing.  It's cute until he nips my nose and that isn't very fun.  Connor sometimes does all of this, too, but not as often.  He usually does it early in the morning.  Are they just showing a ton of affection?  I've had cats all my life, but these boys seem to take everything up to a new level.

My cat use to really like rubbing against my face and rubbing her whiskers against me. It's pretty normal, he's just a really affectionate cat. For the nipping, it's probably that he just gets so excited and expresses it the wrong way. What's worked for me is to pick the cat up right after the nip, put them on the floor (without petting or talking to him, unless you just say "ow" or something to show it hurts), and ignore them for a bit after they do that. They'll be confused, but eventually they'll get that nipping gets them ignored and they'll stop.
