I made my first batch of raw food a few weeks ago. We have been doing half and half raw and canned food with our cat (10 months old) to get her transitioned over. She seems to love it and always cleans her plate. My question is about my recipe. When I made it, it seemed like there were so few supplements! Maybe it was just because the quantities were small, but it just has me worried that I didn’t put enough in the recipe. I’m so worried about going to 100% raw but not giving her enough of what she needs in the raw food. L Here’s what I used. Is this correct?! Thank you for the help!!

2 lb ground chicken (Hare Today ground mix with bones)
1 lb ground chicken organs (Hare Today)
2.5 lbs boneless ground chicken breasts (Hare Today)
8 ounces water
4 raw eggs
4000 mg Taurine
4000 mg wild salmon oil
200 mg Vitamin B Complex
400 iU Vitamin E

It's difficult to know how to answer your question because there is no general consensus on how much supplementation is needed with our home-made recipes. If we knew what recipe, and so whose advice, you are trying to follow we might be able to tell you if you are being consistent with that advice.

Or, in addition to the thread mrsgreenjeens suggested, you can look at the TCS raw  food recipes thread : http://www.thecatsite.com/t/272287/raw-recipe-thread

Looks pretty good. The organs and meat added to the HT grind gets the bone content down to about 10%. Some people find even 10% to be too high and their cats get constipated. Just keep an eye out for that.

Also, you left out the iodized salt. That should be added as a source of iodine unless thyroid is fed. Since you aren't including thyroid you should add an iodine source if you want to be true to the recommendation at that link.

Oh, and do you really intend to fed whole eggs, not just the yolk?
