Natural De-Worming and Flea Treatments?

I cam across an article that recommended the use of Diatomaceous Earth as a natural method for worming and flea prevention (recommended dosage of 1tsp per day)

Has anyone had any success with this?

OR does anyone have any recommendations for other natural remedies? I want to steer away from using revolution for fleas and worming.

DE should work. Just be sure its Food grade (or human grade), not the cheap variation for filtering of pools.
