Hello Everbody,

I'm new to the community and I have this beautiful sweet cat named Mittens. She's about 6 years old and is the politest cat you could ever meet. She is updated on her shots and from the what the vet says, she is in overall good health.  Being the overly paranoid cat mom that I am, I am not sure she is really in great health.  Mittens makes a very odd sound when she breathes.  Almost as if she is snoring all the time. She has a healthy appetite and young kitty mentality when it comes to playing. I  am very concerned with her breathing.  According to the vet she has deformed nasal passageways. Does anyone have or known someone with a cat that has similar "breathing sounds?"

I have uploaded a video of her breathing on youtube. Any help or guidance would be appreciated.  Thanks guys!

One of my cats makes a similar noise when she's very relaxed.  She's almost 11 and she's had sinus issues her whole life.  Most likely my girl's turbinates had been damaged in some way.  She's perfectly healthy otherwise, eats well, plays, uses the box normally so I don't worry about her.

My Wellington breathes like that, but in his case he has herpes and asthma. I assume that is not the case with you, if she has been given a clear bill of health.
