Hi. Im new here. I joined specifically for help with this.
Back story- My family and I have 4 cats right now. We got
Our first female, Callie, when she was 6 months old- she about 18 months now. Our second Opie, is around 16 months old, and we adopted a kitten, Milo- a months ago. He's 15-16 weeks. All fixed and up to date on shots. We adopted Milo from the Humane Society and they called and ask if I could bottle feed a kitten. So, we brought Grey into the house. Callie, Opie and Milo had a 1 week sllllllllllooooooowwwwww inteoduction that was practically flawless. He does get on Callies nerve feom time to time but she happily retreats to my daughters bedroom window and is very happy when he wants to play too much.
Okay, so Grey. She's right at 4-5 weeks. Eating well, pooping well and even starting to enjoy her wet cat food mixed with her milk. She's stayed in a medium crate with a litter box in our living room during the day so the cats could get use to her. They Callie and Opie sniff her- occasionally hiss at the crate, but nothinf crazy. We have even let her walk around with them a time or two, but only supervised, of course.
So, THIS is why Im writing. I think Milo, the kitten, want to kill her. Im not sure if he hates her, or he's just playing. Ill let her out in a small area to stretch her legs play and eat. And a few times we will let him in to sniff her. He IMEDIATLY pounces and starts chewing and biting on her neck. Most of the time his ears are up, but sometimes I feel like hes trying to be aggressive--- or perhaps, assertive? I do know shes technically to young to play but Im always right there and seperate them if hes too rough. But HES told me the socialization was good for them both. So, is it that shes too small to play back? Is it that he really does want to kill her? Help! Any advice is apperciTed. I can even take a video of the "play" of anyone thinks they could help me with whTs goins on. We want to adopt her--- capping our cat family at 4, but I dont want to adopt her to find out the 2 never can live happily.
Thanks so much,
Jess
