my Sooty loves my hair!

I was just wondering why my cat Sooty loves cuddling up to me in my hair he sometimes dribbles, kneads and falls to sleep hes obsessed with my hair any time of day hes in it just wondering why. Is it a bond? Does he think of me as a mother? Or is it just my shampoo. Just curious, thanks!

My Mooch goes crazy for my wet hair.  She nuzzles in and will start playing with it like she does her catnip toys.  I've used multiple shampoos over the years; so I assumed its just something to do with the smell of wet hair in general.  I think our dry hair traps more scents and oils from our body that they might find comforting.  

My Lil Bit has played with mine on several occasions. She acts like it's catnip as well. I have thought of getting her a cheap wig because of her joy in playing with it. When she plays though it as if she is killing prey.
