So earlier on today a cat came into my garden. I thought she was real cute so I put out some food for her. She started brushing up against me and beig all friendly when suddenly she gave me a love bite. It was pretty mild, no blood was drawn only a little puncture of the skin where both fangs went. I waited about 5 mins more, thinking nothing of it. I then went inside, and googled to see if it was anything serious. And yeaaa.... I panicked, washed the living crap out of the "wounds" with some clorohexadene and soapy water. It only happened like an hour ago so there is no real pain or swelling yet, only a little bit. I will update tomorrow if it gets worse. till then what can I do :/ ? I really don't want it to get badly infected.

Here is a picture of the current situation (about an hour after the incident)

Keep it clean, put antibiotic ointment on it. It's not very deep, barely a scratch. It's the deep bites that get infected. You should be fine.

If no blood was drawn then almost certainly you are all right. keep a watch on the bite and if there is any redness then go at once to a doctor.

googling anything medical will always scare you.

keep it clean and covered-it doesn't look bad-you can disinfect it 3 times a day with ointment. if it was to be infected-it would be raised skin that is red and hot to the touch plus painful. get Neosporin with painreliever in it-apply 3 times a day cover with bandaid-don't let your pets lick it on your hand-it will make them ill-but if you can keep an old sock on your hand after applying the cream then your cats/dogs etc wont come into contact with the cream.

24 hours later you would see signs of infection. they pretty much would have to open up the wound and flush out the infection. so if it does get red-sometimes you can open it a bit to let it drain-similar to an abscess on a cat. you don't want the skin to heal over it if infected-got to clean it out good.

If you begin to experience any pain go to the ER.  Cat bites are scary.  Many years ago my husband came close to losing his hand over a cat bite.  Mostly because we didn't' know how serious it could be and go to the doctor the minute it started to hurt. 'I thought it was a freak happening and then two more people I knew with totally different cats ended up in the same condition.

Infection around the bite wound you can treat topically. My husband was in incredible pain and we could barely find the puncture.

Now don't be scared or paranoid if it hurts call the ER or your urgent care. All that said. I've had dozens of cat nibbles some pretty bad over the years with no ill effects. .
