My cat snowy is pregnant she was on top of a cupboard and meowing like she couldn't get down I went to get her down from the edge and she backs up she was cuddling again another case and non stop meowing started scaring me. I got her down but it being her first pregnancy it had me worried she was in pain.

The pic isnt entirely clear.

But it may perhaps be a sort of heat alike behavior??   Its not unusual, sometimes they even are in heat for real although pregnant.

So for example, it happens they do carry two different litters simultaneously,  typically 3 weeks apart.   AND with a little luck they deliver both litters, healthy and fine, three weeks apart.  One of my ex neighbour had one cat from such a second litter.

It sounds like she could be starting to nest. Can you start setting up some more appropriate nesting sites for her?

Can you keep mom and babies 100% inside and away from intact males until the litter has weaned?

What is the problem? what it is you give her and she doesnt want?

Wet food is usually the best for them, so dont be sorry she likes wet food.

Pregnant cats need to eat as much as they want. Give her unlimited access to dry food for kittens and feed her several meals a day of wet kitten food as well. This should continue while she nurses.

Are you able to keep her 100% inside until her kittens have weaned?

@macpuss  In response to your comment, leave dry kitten food down all the time.  You can feed the wet food 3-4 times a day at least, and more if you are able.

How long does labour go for in cats
Prelabor may be quite long. But active labor is much shorter than with humans.

If its going on without resutls and you are worried, contact your vet!

Sometimes its necessary to rush in.

Please come back with further explanations AND reports.

They will crawl and toddle awkwardly from birth, but not walk well for 3-4 weeks.

Are they nursing well?
