Panting after birth is normal. She just gave birth to a large litter. She should be better in a couple days. If she seems in distress then call your vet. [emoji]128522[/emoji]

You will want to cover up the holes in the laundry basket. Kittens heads have gotten stuck in them before... Not good. You can drape a blanket so it covers all the sides.

I agree with the both precedessors.  She has just done a big, exhausting job.   Also, she has surely some aftercontractions, not even mentioning her private parts are surely both sore and aching / hurting.

She does looks OK, and the behavior is good and nice.    Good you are there talking friendly to her and so.

Still, continue of course to be observant.   And do weight the kittens every day, so you notice changes quickly.  With 7 kittens,  you will also easily get a runt, whom isnt sick, but becomes pushed off the nipples...    You will perhaps need to arrange some rotation system.

Also, the remark on the holes in the laundyr basket is correct, you got to cover them.   Or find some other basket, perhaps a cardboard box.

You'll want to buy some KMR (kitten formula) at a pet shop. Powdered by PetAg is best. Mix some up and give her a dish or two a day. She really needs the calcium, especially with 7 kittens.

You'll likely have a runt or two, so the KMR will come in handy for supplementing with a small, needleless syringe or eye dropper.

You can also mix a raw egg yolk into mom's wet food, or give her some plain, full fat yogurt.

Panting is her body recovering, but she needs extra nutrition now and for the next weeks. Deficiency can cause seizures. She needs as much kitten chow and wet food as she wants to sustain her through nursing 7 kittens.

How is she now?

P.S. I would not use the basket at all. A kitten will be stuck in a hole in no time flat and be strangled! Use a plastic bin or a cardboard box asap.
