I found a kitten. She is about 5-7 weeks old. I took her in and nursed her back. She is doing really good except she will not use the litter box. I started with a regular size litter box but she is so small so I started using a pan with lower edges so she can get in and out easily. I keep her in my bedroom because of the dog and she thinks under my bed is her toilet so I moved the litter box under there but she still won't use it. I put all the poop in it too. What should I do?

I would confine her in a much smaller space until she gets the hang of it. Can you put her in a bathroom or even a cage - I usually keep all my kittens in a large dog crate until they are using the litter box. A shower cubicle is a good idea too - easy to clean.

You'll need to clean up under the bed with an enzime cleaner to get rid of the scent, otherwise she'll keep going back there.

I wanted to let you know that my little kitty is doing great. The cage worked and she is no longer using my floor for a toilet. We have left the cage open the past 2 nights and she did good. I just wanted to say thank you for the help.
