Tick control and Frontline product questions

What is Frontline Top Spot and how does it compare to Frontline Plus for tick control? I can find little info on the Top Spot or am I confused? Are they the same product?

We tried Revolution and didn't do anything to control ticks. It was so strongly recommended by our vet for tick control. I later found out it was only good for one species! What a waste of money and time... Of course it was more expensive!

Didn't burn the woods this year for the first time and we are overrun with ticks!

I have been using frontline plus for the past year and I noticed a slight improvement, but it definitely did not eliminate my 2 cats' flea problem. They continued to have bites and were constantly scratching. When I would pet them, I felt scabs and they were losing their fur. I was desperate to find a solution, so I gave them both a bath and I switched over to Advantage II 2 weeks ago, on the recommendation of the pet store clerk, and their fleas seem to be gone!  No more constant scratching and their fur is filling in! I wish I would have used Advantage sooner because it was a long, frustrating battle with Frontline.

What about tick control? Fleas are not a problem
