Hey, I forgot to tell you, I am AUNT!

Beeing here so rarely these days, I forgot to tell you, I am an Auntie!
My sister had a boy on the 4th, so my little boy is now the big cousin! And boy does my little boy seem huge and all grown up now suddenly when there is another one that´s tiny and newborn!
Actually, if he would have been born in the US, he would have been born on the 3rd, since he was born 3 minutes past midnight here, and we are on GMT....
I just think that is a funny thought, if the mum were located in another country at the birth, ones birthday could be another day
I know a girl who was born in Asia, but lives in Iceland, but had her mum been here at her birth, she would have a different birthday.

Sorry to ramble on...it´s 4.40 am, the Grammy Award is over, and I should go to bed!

I know what you mean about different time zones! My sister lives in Canada roughly 12 hours behind my time. She celebrated her birthday Nov. 24 and my dad called her 3 pm here which was 3 am there. She thought it was some sort of emergency and she had to get out of a warm bed in the middle of winter! She was pretty grumpy on her birthday.

Congratulations! I love being an aunt! Esp when they're bad and I can hand them back to Mom! Thats usually after I've fed them all kinds of sugar!

Congratulations! I know how you feel. I have 2 neices and 2 nephews. It's great. But the newest news for me is:

I'm about to be a GREAT Aunt! My nephew and his girlfriend are expecting a son in July. They are going to name him Jonathan Cameron. I can't believe my nephew is going to be a Daddy. I'm too young to feel this old (too young to be a "great" relative ).

Wow he is so cute and so BIG! I thought my brother was big (he weighed roughly 10 pounds) How much did this baby boy weigh and how long was he? I want to pinch his cheeks..hehe

Wow, 10 pounds, that is HUGE!
This little boy was 7,72 lbs, and 19,7 inch (1,64 feet, I dont know how you messure newborns, so I converted the metric we use)
That is about average for Icelandic babies, even a bit less. My son was a lot smaller though, 5,52 lbs and 18,5 inch, so compared to him, this one is HUGE
I will pinch his cheeks for you tomorrow
