Yes, you can clean her. You can also trim fur if you need to, though be careful with the scissors, obviously.

Four nipples are fine since she has 3 babies. Do they get latched and nurse well though?

Ok good! Yes once they find one they nurse fine. :) After searching blindly for a few minutes and fighting over them.

Very shortly, each kitten will have "their" nipple, and they will consistently go to that one!  Isn't nature fun?

Question: I treated all of our cats and momma kitty with advantage two weeks ago. It seems they are good and flea free. What would I do if the babies somehow get fleas?

They won't if there are no fleas or flea eggs. By treating mom it should keep any fleas off the babies. If you see any let us know.

Sometimes it takes another application a couple of weeks later. You can also buy carpet flea spray to use on floors. It will keep eggs from hatching.

Get a flea comb for the babies if you see fleas on them. They can have a kitten dose of Advantage when they are 2 pounds. [emoji]128522[/emoji]

We've got eyes starting to open already! One week old today. Is it normal for one eye to open first before the other?

Does frontline work too? I am pretty broke until I start back to work next month, and frontline is a bit cheaper than the advantage. Thanks again!

Yes, Frontline works also. Do not use any Hartz or Sergeant's products though.

So,our smallest kitten has one eye open. The other eye seems to have a bit of crust on it. No color to it. It's eating and acting fine...Should I gently wipe it with a warm cloth? Momma cat isn't the best at cleaning them up....

Yes, that's a good idea. If mom need a bit of help cleaning them stepping in is fine.

This is so interesting, will carry on with the updates?
It was very kind of your husband to bring them in. Thumb up!

Use gently warm water on a soft cloth, fairly wet.  Hold the cloth against the eye gently, then wipe out and slightly downward.  Repeat as necessary.
