I have a female cat who is barely two years old. She has been skinny her whole life and hasn't "lost weight" I guess you can say. At around 8 months she got pregnant and had one kitten. The kitten is now almost bigger than her mom and definitely has more muscle and fat than her mom. Her mom is mostly skin and bones. She eats wet and dry food and drinks normal and has normal bowel movements. Just recently she started to pee on the couch and we have been cleaning the litter boxes frequently so I'm not sure what this could be. She also occasionally throws up her wet food. Should I be worried? She doesn't seem hurt or sad just always hungry which I thought was normal because my other cats bother me for food all the time also. I think the being pregnant could have stunted her growth but I am worried that she is just not keeping any weight on. Please let me know if you have any ideas about this thank you!

Did you have her spayed? Has she been checked by a vet to make sure the inappropriate urination is not a UTI?

No she is not spayed. And will be checked by a vet just wanted people's opinions first. More concerned about her weight but definitely will mention the peeing on couch to my vet.

Excellent advice by @missmimz

Having her looked at by your vet for a UTI (urinary tract infection) will rule out any medical causes first.

And getting her spayed will reduce her hormone levels, and drive, so that she can relax and put on some weight.

Not to mention, that it reduces chances of her getting tumours and cancers in the future.

While at the vet, they may also want a 'stool sample' to analyse for intestinal worms or parasites, which can also cause hunger but no weight gain.

Worms are quite common in some cats, and easily treatable. Phone your vet up, and ask if bringing in a fresh stool sample is needed.

Throwing up food, is unusual, and so just write it down, when it happens, what she ate, how fast, and bring the diary to your vet, to show.

Even a photo of the vomit, would help your vet, determine the colour, consistency, foam, etc.

(As for the urine stains on the sofa, ...you'll need to use an 'enzymatic cleaner' that takes out the urine proteins, so that your cat does not want to re-mark the same spots.

Female cats also mark their spots, if they are not spayed. So getting everyone spayed is a good idea.)

Good Luck.
