He's the same. Vet said its a wait and see game. They did all they could do. I'm thinking about putting it down.
I didn't quite understand what the vet found after the examination.. I mean, you say "they did all they could do", so they did something. So, what did they do and what were the conclusions on the state of the kitten?

Kitten was doing awesome today talking to me and moving around. I was just finished feeding him. I took his wash clothe to clean him up.(he enjoyed it earlier.) He was talking and he seizured. He went stiff i thought he died. So i put him in his bed and cried trying to figure it out. I was petting him and noticed he moved a tiny bit and he was still breathing his body no longer stiff.
He came a long way. And now. I made a video of him and i talking this morning.
I'm so sad. I wish i had money to fix him.

I'm sorry this happened..

Does the vet who saw him take payments? What was his diagnosis?

I'm so sorry, that's so sad! What did the vet say his injuries are? Sounds like he is a fighter. Is there no hope for a recovery?

It was suggested to put it down.
The kitten is a little warrior. After the seizure kitty slept. I got some more food into him.
Later, I fed it some more more and tryied to wash the formula off his fur. I'll. Wash him better tomorrow. Hes been through enough today.
He kind flops/tilts to one side. Earlier he shook his head so i thought of a balance issue. Maybe he injured his ear.
He moves his legs. Hes tried to move more.
Im going to go for a second opinion. And see if i can get him pain medication and whatever else.
Hopefully find someone who wants yo save him. I slso don't want him to suffer.

It sounds like you are doing everything you can for him, but he probably needs medication. Seizures are an effect from his head injury. Please keep him hydrated. No, we would not want him to suffer, but it can take weeks to fully recover from a head injury.

He can open both eyes. I can get food and water into him. He sits up a bit.
I still put him on a heating pad when he feels cool.he yilts head and trues to dhsje head. I gave him a warm bath today he had formula on his neck.uts warm tidsy. I also had him out visiting his momma. She licked his ear which has me thinking he damaged the left ear. I think it is a he. He has a will to live.
I wonder how much an xray would be. Im in canada )im thinking ho see if that can pin point what exactly is wrong.
If i had money he would be getting what ever needed. I'm heart broken i know it could take awhile to fix him..
Im going to try to attach the video i took yesterday morning. He has always had the high pitched meow.

I really appreciate how patient you are being with his recovery. It does sound like he has a big will to live. Since he is so young, I'm hoping that he will slowly make a full recovery. I wish you could afford a vet visit too.

It's good that he is eating and drinking. Is he going pee and poop on his own? I think keeping him warm is important, and massaging his front and back legs may help his limbs. The visit with his mom was sweet. Did he enjoy seeing her?

Video needs to be uploaded to youtube, then the link put here! [emoji]128522[/emoji]

I wanted to jump in here and tell you that a traumatic head injury does take time to heal.

I have gone through one of my foster's kittens being closed in a recliner chair and seemed dead, raced to the emergency vet hospital, and no response in his eyes at all, one pupil was large and one tiny, light or touch, no response.

He was given a shot for brain swelling, and fed with IV tubes.

Daily he showed improvements, and 5 weeks later is a normal healthy adopted boy!

I was caring for him right out of the hospital, and he had no balance and would spin in circles, I was told this is normal and will take time to correct.

Now, I've been dealing with another one, a foster had a mom with 6 babies less than a week old. GREAT loving mom, then all of the sudden she was hiding and not looking well, dilated pupils and hissing when the foster went to get her from behind the hot water heater.

She made this mad dash past her babies, grabbing one by it's head and biting down.

Off to emergency, so much blood I couldn't imagine he could live.

Mom was suspected of having toxoplasmosis and placed in a separate foster home to get well.

Babies, including the bit baby were fostered, it was a wait and see thing.

He was named Forrest.

Fast forward, his wounds healed, but you could feel a hole in his skull.

He was not growing, in 2 weeks his siblings were twice his size.

My worry was if his growth plate was affected, his brain would outgrow his skull, so back to the vet for an eval, thinking he might need to be put to rest, spare him any future suffering.

No, she wanted to wait and see.

Over the next few weeks he finally started to grow better, still far behind his sibs, he was a loner, didn't play, explore, nothing. He seemed blind.

He also kept circling. Had weak balance. Occasional seizure.

Cried often in his cage.

Then he changed again, slowly improving, stronger balance, not circling like before, isn't crying now, cuddles with a sib, and yesterday was sent a video of his progress, he is now playing with toys, and exploring!

I still don't think he can see, or his brain and eyes don't connect right, he is going to be seen by an eye specialist on Saturday to know better, but it has taken over 5 weeks for him to get to where he is now.

It amazes me honestly, how these kids can recover the way they do, but it does take a good amt of time.

It's critical that this kitten you are caring for be fed enough KMR to grow though.

Glad to know you are such a caring person to give this little one a chance and time.

The photo did not post. Can you try again? We would love to see him!

I'm glad to hear that he is going to the bathroom on his own. I have a good feeling that this little guy is a survivor! [emoji]128077[/emoji]

Oh, poor baby. I'm so sorry he's had another seizure! [emoji]128533[/emoji]

Is there any way possible that you can see a vet and perhaps get on a payment plan? It would be great if he could get some meds for his seizures. Poor little guy.

I'll try to find your video and get back to you. Hang in there!

I just found it. It must have been too soon before.

God bless you! Poor little guy! He clearly is trying to live! He hears you! I could see his milk on his chin. Awww!

I want to encourage you to cotinue to hang in there. I hope he will improve! He responds so well to you. There is hope catwoman707 catwoman707 , please take a look!

I wish you could find a way to get some vet care to help him. Can you start a Go Fund Me Page to ask for help for a vet visit?

I pray he will recover. Keep up the nice job!
