I would like to thank again everyone that replied to the feed i started about six months ago titled: cat needs non-detectable probiotic - I have Alley on Proviable (best price by far is Amazon) and not sure if pets r supposed to stay on it continually or ? It's hard to tell, when cat has probs like mine does. I think it helped settle her down from immune system dysfunction. The food she is on now appears to be really good for her - Wellness CORE grain free - best cost is PetCo $3.09 per large can. (I think all pets r better off with grain free products)

Now, it seems most of Alley's symptoms appear to be getting rid of hair in her stomach. She doesn't ingest  a lot but, it doesn't take much to upset her. (I brush her regularly including using a Furminator) So, she is vomiting about 2 episodes per month 3 to 4 mornings consecutively time. Due to her gastrointestinal history, I cannot give her something from the store that has indiscernible ingredients...hoping i can find a home remedy...i have been trying: pet grass that she loves, olive oil (that she hates) before during and after she eats....i have no idea what order i am supposed to be giving her these. And i don't understand why this has become so difficult! Today is day four in a row that she vomits at her dish as soon as she eats her food, or very shortly thereafter and usually NO hairball. This must indicate something...(it seems to be a very clear symptom) but the vet i have taken her to that has forced me into debt can't give me an answer. So this happens every  2 weeks for 3 or 4 days. The weirdest thing - each time, she can keep food down a couple of hours later, so she is getting nutrition. (And she always vomits on or near the full moon!) The problem is just what i have described. So some nights i have given her food all night and some nights i give her no food. Doesn't seem to matter. The rest of the days between these episodes she is almost always fine, so i'm pretty sure now it's just a small hairball problem. What would any of u suggest that i try or what order to give her grass, oil and food in? Any thoughts on that specific symptom of vomiting just after eating in the morning only?

I sure appreciate  your help!

I have one like that, and it seems to be because she eats too fast if she goes too long between meals, and she's kind of picky so won't eat until she's very hungry and then will gulp it down and it comes right back up.  It's infuriating, and I am feeding multiple cats so it's hard to keep them eating what they are supposed to anyhow.  One thing that has helped with the cat who eats too fast is one of the bowls they design for DOGS who eat too fast and bloat.  Cats don't seem to bloat, they just barf.  Probably a good thing, because bloat can kill a dog, barfing doesn't seem to bother the cat that much.

I got this dish in PetSmart recently because they had them out at the counter, on sale for half price.  I never would have noticed them in the dog section because I have no reason to go into the dog section!  The dish has "obstacles" in it at different heights, and the animal has to eat around these.  They cannot wolf the food!

FYI I checked on the Wellness Core food prices on Petco ONLINE, and you can do better on price.  If you are paying $3.09 per can in the store (you said LARGE can, does that mean the 5.5 oz. cans, or do they have a larger one?) - anyhow if you mean the 5.5 oz. cans, you can get it from Petco online or Chewy online for $39.99 for a case of 24, which works out to $1.67 a can.  You can get  even more discount by having a standing order with them too.

The cans of food are 12.5 oz.(like reg. size vegetable or dog food cans), that i get for $3.09 each, but thanks for checking into that for me!

I do feed my cat in a glass dish and it is raised (i learned about the eating fast 10 yrs ago - from the dog section of a site here online - so bought the raised dish for her then). The dish can only be glass (that i now have to put inside of the ceramic raised one) as she had acne that was really hard to get rid of, so, unfortunately i don't think the bowl u suggested will work. The bowl she uses is pretty hi off the floor but she does eat pretty fast. I would think when she eats other times of day that she would have the problem vomiting when eating fast, too, but she only has this problem in the morning.

I found that she had vomited the grass she at this morning, apparently before she tried the food. She does this in attempt of getting the hair out.

Now, she has only eaten small amount of tuna 2 times today, none of her regular food. i try not to give her much tuna at all, but it was all of the fresh meat i had on hand that she can eat.

Thanks for trying to help...not sure what to do next.
