I would like to talk about why people don't go for the "black cat" at the shelter. As a matter of fact almost %72 of non adopted shelter cats are black. They're not evil. They just want a home and to love and be loved. I mean do you not want a true mini panther?! Do you not want the perfect Halloween decoration?!?! If not then I don't know what you're doing with your life. Adopt a fun sized panther today! :)

I don't understand this either. I had the cutest little black cat as a foster over Christmas. I mean look

He did find a home, fortunately! I still miss him sitting up there looking down at me.

They are more difficult to get a good photo of.    This is the drawback with them.        :)

But when you do get a good photo they look absolutely stunning.

Have you seen this thread @Bishopmain  ? Lots of beautiful black cats here.

I :heart3: my black panthers. I do not understand either, but even when I was a little girl my cat was black.
I sponser black cats at our local shelter. They often get overlooked. If someone would take them out of the cage and bring them in the visiting room they would realize what lovers they can be. This is one we sponsered that was adopted:

An idea may be, to put extra effort in taking good and nice pics of black cats, so these pics will talk for them.

As said, its more difficult, you must have a camera when you can get more light - several EV steps.   OR a totally manual camera where you yourself set in suitable settings. Not needing by  having any electronic you need to cheat.

But with more effort in THIS step, much of the work will be done.

Because as you say, with some extra work  showing them off  a little extra - you can often find good adoption homes for them too.
