My cat was bred on March 31, And today we left for around an hour...When we got back there was something hanging out of her, When it finally came out it looked like a premature kitten but I could not tell. Does this mean that the rest of her kittens are not living?

I don't feel any other kittens moving around, but is that because the kittens are not developed enough?

Any in site is appreciated!

Sometimes they'll have one prematurely/stillborn, and the others come out just fine at the proper time. But if the others are dead inside her and she doesn't expel them, she could die from infection. So in this case it's best to get her to the vet so he/she can see how the other kittens are doing in there.

She delivered a premature kitten. It was a miscarriage. She will likely carry the rest to term and have healthy kittens. She's not due until at least the first week in June based on what you've said, possibly a few days later even.

You do not feel kittens moving around yet because it's too early. You'll feel kittens moving 2 weeks before she's due, so not yet.

If she's bleeding, and things don't seem right, she needs to see a vet. Otherwise, just wait.

Keep us posted on her progress!

Update: My cat has one or two weeks till she is supposed to have her litter, but I woke up this morning and there was a kitten on my porch, every thing was still on the kitten.. and it looked like she had been born that night, I don't get why she had another premature kitten... I've been looking up how to save premature kittens just in case she has another...i'm just worried and I'm not sure what to do.

Is your cat allowed outside? Highly recommend keeping her in from now until her expected delivery date. She'll also need to stay in until the kittens are weaned.

This kitten was already gone when you found it? There is often not a lot that you can do. Premature kittens are quite the uphill battle. You should pick up some kmr and a needleless syringe for sure.

How long was your cat left with the stud?

I'm sorry to hear this. Does your cat still appear to be pregnant? Was the kitten fully formed and furry?

I'm concerned that your cat may have an infection that is causing these premature kitten births. Can you get her checked by a vet?

I'll echo the others in saying she needs to stay inside whether she likes it or not.

She stays outside all the time and is never let in because my dad is allergic, But something might can be arranged for her to stay somewhere inside.

Yes, the kitten was already gone when we found it outside.

Prissy (the mom) was outside when we saw Zebadiah (the dad) breeding her...The cats we have never come inside so they were able to stay together as long as they wanted.

Prissy appears to still be pregnant but her tummy is pretty small.

The kitten looked like it was pretty much fully developed but it didn't have any hair

We have a vet five minutes down the road so it would be no problem to take her for a check up.

It would be great if you could take her for a check up. She does not seem to produce healthy kittens. Is there any way to get your cats spayed and neutered? She can get pregnant again almost immediately after delivery and it's very stressful on her body.

I could get her spayed, but I don't really want to, I was wanting her to have more kittens.

So, the issue is that you are not setting her up for a healthy pregnancy or delivery. The kittens are also not being set up for a healthy kittenhood.

Mom needs to only have one pregnancy per year in order to be healthy. She needs to be inside only, and eating all of the kitten food she wants in order up build up nutrients. She is not producing healthy kittens now, and I doubt she will start to if she gets pregnant again right away.

It is also not safe to have mom and babies outside. What if a kitten were to get stuck in the birth canal? You would have no idea and mom and babies could all die. If they are outside, they are exposed to predators, illness, and parasites. If you cannot provide a safe living condition I really urge you to reconsider.

Lastly, a mom left outside can get pregnant again within a week of delivery. This is horrible for her body.

As you can hopefully see, there is a lot more to it than just letting your cats breed.

I really do think you should get her checked by a vet. The kitten born with no fur was born about two weeks early. Unless it is a genetic defect, I'm worried that your cat could have an infection that is preventing her from carrying to full-term.

Update: Today I just noticed Prissy has what looks like mucus or what I think could be infection coming out...I'm a bit worried. Is this a sign that she has infection?? And how bad can the infection be?

I haven't taken her to the vet yet, but I have been wanting to...Now that I see this i'm really thinking I need to take her.

Yes, she needs to go to a vet immediately.  It could be very serious.

I've been concerned about your cat for several days. Seeing a vet should be a top priority, especially since she's already delivered two premature kittens well before her due date. The mucus could be from pyometra, which can cause the infected uterus to burst if not treated. This can put your cat's life in danger.
