Addicted to when my cat urinates

Help. Im obsessed with my cats urinary behavior. He pees twice a day. If he pees early in the morning I feel I have to go to bed early just in case he misses the 12 hour mark. I get very restless and anxious when its been 14 hours that he hasnt peed. This obsession has taken over my life. My vet says he only needs to go every 24 hours but thats not good enough for me. Any suggestions?

So, your cat sounds fine. Cats are generally very self-sufficient with litter box usage and your cat is taking care of his business. It's also great that you spoke to his vet.

Have you considered seeing a doctor for yourself? This does sound a bit obsessive.

I have a therapist who helps me with rhis. It is a relief to know that he is fine and his urinary behavior is normal. I have had this obsession for three years and it has gotten better but its not gone.
