I wasnt sure where to post this but this sub felt like the best place. Soo while im waiting on my latest addition to grow up and continue to get great advise from the forum members, i wanted to show everyone the castle i build for my cats.
It took roughly 50hours and about 150$. I had no dimensions to go off of so i had to wing it and build it to fit the room i have it in.

Finished

The beginning

When it started to come together

Start of the inside

Pillars put on

Pillars notched and see through windows cut

The inside completed

The beginning of the worst part. The carpet :-/ it was seriously horrible.

I had to do it in sections because the whole thing is so large that it cant fit through my doors so i had to make the pillars removable

The carpeted inside

The finished product with cats

So all and all my cats love it and they never stop suprising me with how the use it, poping their heads out the windows to meow, playing king of the castle with each other and just relaxing on it.
Oh the can go inside the pillars so i carpeted the inside of them plus i added cat beds.

I'm just speechless! I'm so impressed with your creativity. Did you draw your own plan?

I'l bet the carpet was hard! You did a tremendous job!

If you marketed these, you would have to charge much more, of course. Maybe you could put the carpeting on in sections next time, before putting the whole thing together.

What a fantastic and fun castle for your cats! [emoji]128522[/emoji]

I actually got the idea off of pintrest but the guy didnt post any dimensions or anything. So i did spend a fair amount of time drawing and measuring to make sure it all looked good when it was put together.

If you have a garage or carport you could make smaller ones to sell!

My fiance just looked at me and said "Oh we could do that!"

Then, I reminded him, no, no we can not LOL. (neither of us are that handy)
Honestly it wasnt that difficult, except for the carpet!

True. Technically we could. However, more than likely it would wind up half built and both of us looking at it for 2 years saying "yea, we should find someone to finish that for us"

I really like the cat helper who is in almost all of the pictures. I assume she was your quality control tester? [emoji]128521[/emoji]

I do too!  Is that a dilute tortie point?  Hard to tell, but what a pretty cat!
