One of my cats has Feline Plasma Cell Pododermatitis also known as pillow foot. I suspect it is due to a pine allergy. The thing is, I live on the edge of a pine forest and would not doom him to a strictly indoor lifestyle. Pillow foot is treatable but since he is walking on pine needles daily I was wondering if there is an allergy medicine that could be prescribed to him to keep this at bay?

He will be going to the vet next week but I would like to be informed before the visit.

Welcome to TCS

It will be interesting to see what your vet says. If it is Plasma Cell Pododermatitis there may be a secondary infection as well. It is treatable but if the cause is indeed environmental there may be no choice but to restrict access to the pine needles. Whether or not allergy medicine could keep it at bay is a good question. From what I've read, it doesn't always help.

Even if it does, you'd have to consider whether the risks of lifetime use are worth the benefits of him being let outside. Cats can and do live rich happy lives indoor, so it might be worth exploring that possibility. There are many ways to provide environmental enrichment that can keep a cat physically and mentally stimulated. It's certainly a safer option.

Here are a few articles about keeping cats indoors, including one about making the switch. It might not be as bad as you think -

Do let us know what the vet said. Is there anyway to get him to the vet sooner by the way? This condition is painful and could lead to complications. Probably best treated sooner rather than later.
