Hey :-) we recently adopted a three year old cat from the shelter. We went in search of a suitable kitten, but wee Suki had been surrendered with a litter of kittens, and has recently had the tips of her ears amputated due to sun damage, and sort of chose us! I found the forum following endless googling of her behaviour. It has been a long time since I adopted an adult cat, and I've found it hard not knowing everything about her background. She seems to have settled in okay, with a few teething issues!

We also adopted a kitten, Luna. She's been much easier to settle in but we are having a few issues with the two of them getting along, so I'm looking forward to hopefully getting some advice on how I can help the settling in process!

Here is Suka:

Hi and welcome!!

They are both beautiful!! Is Luna one of Suki's babies? You can try Feliway plug ins or sprays. These mimic the feel good pheremones that cats give off. These work for some cats and not others. They are available from Amazon

Try some play time like with a wand toy. This often works with cats that have issues getting along because they get so wrapped up in playing that they forget that they don't get along.
Da Bird is one of the more popular wand toys that most cats can't resist. Amazon sells these as well.

Give them time. They are getting used to a whole new life and could likely be setting up a pecking order to determine which of them will be the alpha. This is very common in a multi cat household.
