My family and I have stray cats running behind our house all the time. But almost two days ago my sister found a little kitten by our pool with no mother or other kitten so we took it inside. its in my room & wont stop hissing at me every time i take a step on the floor, wont stop meowing through the night, no signs of eating or drinking, or using the bathroom, and wont ever come out from under my bed, even though i made a section for her. I've had feral cats/kitten before but this kitten is waaaay different. Also spotted its mother the other day but it ran away when it caught sight of us. Would love to keep her but i already have two cats that try to come in my room to see whats meowing.. dont want her to fend for herself outside either. Any ideas on how to get her to stop meowing & hissing at me, and for her to trust me? Would be very thankful for any feedback, thank you!

How old is this kitten? She may still be nursing and not weaned on real food yet! If she is crying constantly she is likely very hungry! She needs KMR (kitten milk replacer, the powdered kind is best, mixed with water of course). She may hiss at you because you are not familiar to her and she has not been socialized at all. You smell much different than her momma/siblings.

Yes, I think this kitten is too young to eat and drink by itself! You need to feed it with a bottle or a needleless syringe or a dropper. It needs kitten milk replacer or goat milk. Can you start feeding it immediately?

Putting out warm cow's milk is not going to help. Cows milk is really quite bad for cats, as most cats are lactose intolerant. She needs Kitten Milk Replacer (KMR, you can get it at Petsmart)! Please let us know if you've fed her!
