I seem to always have a problem. I wormed the momma while pregnant, and just gave the three kittens some, one is doing really bad after, her stools are milky white and i cant go to the vet yet. What can be used to help her gain weight and stop the diarrhea?

What worm medicine did you use?

How old are the kittens?

What are the kittens eating?

I used Rid Worm, they are 1 month and 2 weeks old, and they are eating Best Choice canned cat food, occasionally Sidekick cat food, and they still nurse when momma lets them.

Please do not use Hartz products again. They are awful and tend to make cats sick.

So they are 6 weeks old. White poop is indicative of a bacterial infection that needs antibiotics to cure. When can you get the kitten to the vet? Diarrhea can be serious in cats this young.

I did force feed her some canned cat food, she wouldnt eat, but i know she needs food. I'm also soaking some cat food in kitten milk for her.

Not eating tells me she's not feeling well. [emoji]128533[/emoji]

I hope you can get her seen quickly.

Do you have plain, canned pumpkin? If so, give her a teaspoon. It will usually help diarrhea a little, but won't solve the underlying problem.

You can also put a sprinkle of sugar and salt in water, and give her some of that. It's homemade pedialyte.

But if she's not eating, she needs to see a vet tomorrow.

She ate some sardine pieces, but shes really wanting her mom's attention, but mom doesn't care. I can't cash my check until Wednesday, I have canned pumpkin.

See if she will eat some pumpkin, and go ahead and set up a vet appointment too. I'm glad she ate something.

She loved the pumpkin, she nearly ate the spoon trying to get some more off!

You can give her a teaspoon at each meal. Let me know if it helps her diarrhea! I'm glad she liked it. Store the unused pumpkin in a plastic container in the fridge, and warm it a bit before serving.

She passed away. I found some Veraflox their momma was perdcribed, it's an antibiotic. I'm thinking that it might help them.

Oh, I'm so sorry. That's a shame. I had hoped she would pull through.

How many other kittens are there, and what makes you think they need an antibiotic?

There's only two, I looked up what the causes of white stools are and most sites said bacteria infection in the intestines. I gave both of them q little and their stools are already lookong normal and they don't feel as weak as yesterday. These two were stronger in general, but with the medicine they seem even better.

They may need an antibiotic, but the proper dosage and a full course each. Can you manage that?

It says how to measure it out. The other two are doing great! Meridia had been stepped on by my 4 year old cousin earlier that week, I'm beginning to think that being stepped on may have helped cause her to be weaker than the pthers or something, because the other twp are in good health, not counting Rivaille's (sounds like Levi, but with an R) eye, it is very mucousy.

So how are they doing now?

I'm so sorry one got stepped on. That's never good. Is this kitten doing okay?

Are you still giving antibiotics?
