My two year old male rag doll simamese cat had an FHO on both sides, 3 weeks apart. The first time, he was just sore, not jumping or running so I took him in and we had the first one done, it was healing nicely and he started to return to his old self. Then a few weeks later the garbage truck sound scared the cats and Timmy ran upstairs. When we found him he was in horrible pain. We rushed him into the vet only to find he had the same injury on the other side. So, we had the other side done as well. He's now on day three post op, he's having a hard time walking. He is still on two meds... One anti-Inflamatory the other a Narcotic. I'm wondering what his long term life will be like and if he will be more likely to break more bones? The vet said his bones look solid. The whole thing has been sad and I just want him to not suffer.

Wow, that is a hard 3 weeks to get through!

Timmy is just 2 years old and your vet is saying his bones are strong:   if your vet believes Timmy is in good general health and there was no condition underlying these injuries then it sounds to me like he should have every chance of a good recovery and being back to being his previous active self.   If his recovery seems very different this time round to how it was 3 weeks ago have you called the vet to check what their thoughts are?    It could be that there is some post operative issues which they need to take a look at, or that his medication isn't coping with the level of pain he is in at the moment - perhaps this latest surgery has put strain on the recently repaired joint?   The first thing I would do would be to discuss what you are observing and thinking with the vet as I doubt they would have undertaken the surgery if they didn't expect a good recovery.

Hope you manage to find out what is going on and see a big imporvement for Timmy very soon.
