I feed my kitten blue buffalo wet canned food chicken both in the morning and night and feed her grain free blue buffalo dry kitten food free feed and I heard multiple things about Blue buffalo about how they're good and also that they're bad. What are your guys' opinions?

I feed my babies dry Blue Buffalo (Indoor Kitten) since I bought them home. My vet okayed my choice but snubbed the "grain free" thing. My cats like the food when they are hungry. They don't like the Blue Buffalo wet food, so I am feeding them Fancy Feast Kitten Turkey food. They love it. I am thinking about changing the dry food too. (On the other hand, people said as long as the cats are healthy, any food will do.)

I don't feed Blue Buffalo due to the controversy, and also the fact that my cats won't touch it (yes, even Coco who normally eats ANYTHING!).

You have a lot of options in that price range, so if you want to play it safe you can always buy a different brand.

Not a fan of BB. Don't think it's good food for the price.

My cats don't eat BB when given a choice between something else. They love Purina Muse Charmed With Chicken dry food. They won't eat any canned food except Friskies Indoor.

My kitten loves it and eats it really well so I should be fine. I know they had some controversy and had to recall for bad ingredients but you would think that company learned from it's mistake right? I just want to make sure she's eating good quality canned food

If you are really concerned, you have a lot of other options in the same price range.  Blue Buffalo does have a bit of a bad reputation, and it isn't too popular here on TCS.

Me too.  Archie and Lucy enjoyed Blue Buffalo Wilderness dry food for years.  However, I transitioned them to Nature's Variety Instinct due to Blue Buffalo's deceptive business practices.  The facts that emerged from the  Purina lawsuit make it clear that Buffalo knowingly cheated its customers. And since a simple microscope was adequate to identify the problem ingredients, I question Blue's quality control process.  I won't support a company that lies.

Can someone recommend me a good quality kitten food. I don't really want to pay that much but at the same time I want what is best for my kitten so I am also willing to spend a little more. She is about 11 week old!

There are many threads about kitten food:

Many brands have both dry and canned kitten foods. Ideally an all canned food diet is best but it's a good idea to feed a little dry food so the kitten knows what it is. You never know when dry food has to be fed or is the only available option for some reason (emergency evacutation situation, etc).

Below is the link to Purina's site where they chronicle the events surrounding the lawsuit.  There are links to court documents and select evidence as well as case summaries.
