Sweet girl, Duchess. ❤

On Wednesday morning the 20th April we had to make one of the hardest decisions. To say goodnight to this beautiful soul, Duchess Anabelle. Duchu was a warrior and fought her whole life. She was honestly the sweetest cat, our first little fur baby as a family. We are never ever going to forget her, and her cute personality, how she managed to teach the other cats how to open doors! And how she would cheekily try steal chips off your plate when you weren't looking. Duchess really was an absolute sweetheart.

I'm so happy you have such wonderful memories to comfort yourself in such times of grief, she sounds like a beautiful little soul who wormed her way into your hearts. The bond you formed with her will be with you always, the memories you have will keep her alive in your heart. I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers and pray she has a swift journey to the Rainbow Bridge where she will take on the role of teacher in showing them all how to open doors and have many plates of chips to steal those chips from! Being of the Siamese persuasion, I'm sure she had a lot to say and she will continue to 'talk' to you if you open your heart and ask her. They love us so very much there is no way she would ever want you to be so sad when remembering what you shared, try to celebrate that love and the time you got to have with her, not dwell on the end. Thank you for letting us know of this special girl, her sweet little face brought a smile to my morning, and tears to my eyes for what you are going through, bless your loving heart. RIP sweet Duchess, you were aptly named and will rule the Bridge as you did your household, you are greatly missed and will never be forgotten!

It is never easy to say goodbye, but it comes down to, "Do you love her enough to let her go, instead of selfishly letting her suffer?" The answer is yes, and Duchess thanks you for that. She has shed her failing body, and is happy and healthy in heaven, stealing chips off people's plates! So very sorry for your loss. Duchess was beautiful.
