So my cat has been very affectionate and will meow in the middle of the night for me to let her in my room. She sleeps by my side or on my pillow. She's only about 7 weeks pregnant but she's a small cat and her last litter she only had 2 kittens. I was wondering if smaller cats can have kittens early?

I hope not! What makes you ask that? Are you concerned about early labor? Premature kittens rarely live. It's not good for cats to have kittens early.

It's also not healthy for cats to have multiple litters. Can you spay her when this litter weans? She will be happier and much healthier for it. I can help you locate a low-cost spay clinic if you give me your city and state.

What are your plans for her kittens? Do you find good homes for them?

The fact she's being so affectionate is due to her hormones. It does not mean she will have her kittens early though. [emoji]128522[/emoji]

What I mean is that since she's a smaller cat and only had 2 kittens last time I was wondering if they would come early and fully developed? Her last two were healthy kittens and went to good homes. I have a friend who is wanting one and I'll figure out what to do with the rest. I don't have the money to get her spayed she's an indoor cat

No, if they come early they will NOT be fully developed. They will not survive being early. Cats need 65 days to gestate full-term kittens. Being a small cat has nothing to do with delivering early. When did she mate?

If she's an indoor cat, how did she get pregnant?

You need to get her spayed after this litter. It's cruel to allow her to keep mating. Do you have an un-neutered male cat in your house?

What is your city and state? I'll find a clinic you can afford.

How old are you? Are you a minor?

She got out one night I left and my grandma found her out front. I have another female cat in the house and that's it. This is her second litter. I live in Kelso, Washington and yes I'm a minor I'm 16 almost 17 years old

Okay, thank you for answering. I'll find a clinic for you to use to get her spayed after this litter. In the meantime, let's hope she does not deliver prematurely.

And don't let your other female cat out if she's not spayed either. Tell your grandma!

I understand not being able to afford expensive surgery from vets. There are other places to go though. Perhaps you should read this article? :)

http://www.humanesociety.org/issues..._neuter.html?referrer=https://www.google.com/

All across the states there are low cost clinics that can spay and neuter your animals. Cats are generally cheaper. It costs $20 per cat to be fixed where I live, and $10 during spring. The SPCA always does low cost spay and neuters. It can get rid of and reduce the risk of certain types of cancers and diseases, your cat will be happier and healthier, and you won't have any unwanted litters on your hands.

Your kitty there is adorable, and she will carry to term unless something is wrong, so in about two weeks, give or take a few days, you'll have some kittens. Since it's her second litter, there are likely to be more kittens than the first. As long as she doesn't seem in dire distress, or have brown/green/yellow or very bloody discharge, she is most likely okay.

We're practically neighbors! I'm up in Castle Rock. Anyway, please do get mom spayed after the kittens wean. It's the kind thing to do. [emoji]128149[/emoji]
